These were some great wings!!! The bartender didn’t bat an eye when I asked for them extra crispy and they delivered, naked but covered in sauce.
These were normal size wings, and I mean that as a good thing. They weren’t trying to be ostentatious with unnecessarily large wings. Just normal wings! They were saucy, but not overly saucy. They had a nice crispyness when you bit into them. The meat was tender. Great place to start.
Now let’s talk sauce. I got the buffalo sauce and their famous centennial sauce. I’ll say the buffalo sauce wasn’t that spicy (those familiar with my work know I can’t handle a ton of spice so this wasn’t the end of the world for me, but I could see it disappointing masochists I know). The sauce had a good flavor and tasted home made. Now the centennial sauce on the other hand was okay, it had a nice subtle pepperyness that I enjoyed but wasn’t over powering. But it left something to be desired, especially compared to the sauce.
What about the blue cheese and ranch you may ask. Those familiar with my work know I don’t have much to say about these things.
All in all this was a great experience and a wonderful dive bar that makes incredibly good wings.
