Wingnutz Buffalo - Amherst

These were good wings. The sauce options were fun and gave a lot of possibilities for flavor but I feel like the wings themselves were a little too big and not quite crispy enough. They had some breading which may have been why they didn’t taste as crispy.

This place has great sauces and the owner was kind enough to let us try a bunch. We settled on the wingnutz hot and buffalo hot. Wings were very saucy and sauce was balanced with nice heat that made you sweat, butter, and acid. Wings were a little too big for my liking and they had a light breading which I didn’t love. They got soggy from the abundant sauce. Blue cheese was awesome—creamy and chunky with nice tang.

The wings were good, but not great compared to other places in Buffalo. The various sauces and amazing blue cheese bring this from a 5.5 to a 6 rating. The buffalo sauce was very buttery and flavorful.
